Our belief is that we will prepare all students for college or career readiness by:

CREATIVITY AND INNOVATION

Students will reflect on their own ideas and integrate the ideas of others in order to create inventive ideas and then communicate their thinking to others. 

COMMUNICATION AND COLLABORATION

Students will be able to articulate thoughts, communicate and listen effectively, and assume a shared responsibility while working with diverse partners/team to accomplish a common goal. 

CRITICAL THINKING AND PROBLEM SOLVING

Students will analyze, evaluate, and apply questioning techniques to solve problems within social situations and all subject areas. 

PRODUCTIVITY AND ACCOUNTABILITY

Students will set goals, plan, manage the work in order to meet goals and produce high quality products, either individually or cooperatively and collaboratively. 

LEADERSHIP AND RESPONSIBILITY

Students will inspire, guide, and lead others, leveraging individual strengths of group members while using problem solving skills to achieve common goals of the larger group.

Winnebago Elementary School serves approximately 450 PK-5 students in the communities of from Glendale Heights, Bloomingdale, Glen Ellyn, Addison, and Lombard, Illinois. At Winnebago, highly skilled and dedicated educators work together to implement an educational program which provides our students with the skills and knowledge necessary to become productive members of society and lifelong learners.

Winnebago classrooms are dynamic learning environments designed to support the mental, emotional, and physical well-being of every child. Positive partnerships between Winnebago’s teachers, parents, and community encourage our students to continuously grow and achieve inside the classroom and beyond.
